Education Assistance Programs

School Fee Subsidies

Aisai City has a system in place whereby eligible families, who are experiencing financial difficulties paying for fees necessary for their children to attend elementary or junior high school, are provided with subsidies for school lunches, school supplies and field trips.

If you wish to apply for subsidies, please visit the Aisai Board of Education’s School Education Office within the submission period to fill out the Application Form (Shugaku Enjohi Jukyu Shinseisho) for Receiving Subsidization for Attending School.

Persons Eligible for Assistance

(1) Persons whose welfare payments have been suspended or cancelled. 

(2) Persons who are exempt from or pay reduced municipal tax. 

(3) Persons who pay reduced personal business tax and/or property tax (this does not apply to reduction in property tax due to new construction).

(4)Persons who pay reduced National Pension Insurance premiums and/or tax.

(5) Recipients of Child-Care Allowances (this does not apply to Child Benefits).  

(6) Recipients of Social Welfare Loans.

(7) Persons who have an Eligibility Handbook for Unemployment Relief Work or day laborers registered with the job placement office. 

(8) Other (Aside from 1-7 above, persons who meet any of the following conditions)

  • Persons whose guardians have unstable jobs and whose home environment is considered disadvantaged.
  • Persons who have trouble paying for school fees and cannot afford school supplies and have guardians whose living conditions are considered extremely poor.

Where to Apply

School Education Office, Hachikai Government Office, Aisai Board of Education (or Saya Community Hall, Saori Community Hall, Tatsuta Gymnasium) *On days that the facilities in brackets are closed, the general office at each of the government offices will accept your application.
